Job descriptions for online teachers
Some suggestions that were made:
- Reword face to face teacher job descriptions
- Preparing and delivering lessons to improve students’ reading, writing, and conversing skills.
- Developing educational content such as notes and quizzes.
- Assigning activities to facilitate students’ consolidation of learning material.
- Tailoring your teaching style in accordance with students’ needs.
- Managing interpersonal dynamics to ensure that the class is conducive to learning.
- Tracking and reporting on students’ progress.
- Remaining up-to-date with our learning software.
- Ensuring that your equipment is in good working condition at all times.
- Be aware of and act in accordance with child protection policies
Don’t try to be perfect, celebrate your successes.

Exams
Extremely helpful post from Glenn Standish on using the tools at exam.net
Here at IH Toruń, I’ve been busy trialing online continuous assessment (e.g. unit and end of year tests) using the website www.exam.net. I’m pleased to say that it has been very successful and we are now in the process of rolling out online testing with all our teens and adult classes from A2.2 and above.
It may seem rather complicated at first, but trust me the end results are very effective and to be honest the overall system is a really good solution to online continuous assessment during these times.
Therefore, to help you I have compiled a detailed step-by-step guide to using Exam.net for online testing. It covers all the key stages in the process from initially registering your school, to the actual creating and running of the tests and then finally onto how to mark them.

can adapt and show to your students prior to their first online test.
